Rush: Preference Round Advice

With Preference Rounds approaching, I just wanted to share some brief pieces of advice when it comes to choosing the house you want to call home🤍🫶🏼

• Video yourself right after both pref rounds!! Just pretend that that you are on FaceTime with friends/family and share everything that you are feeling. Having access to a real-time visual helps you remember everything that you are feeling without the last house you visited clouding your judgement.
• If you had to choose one of the chapters to be your family, who do you see supporting you in the way you need best?
• Look around the room to see who your potential sisters could be. Are these girls you have met and spent time with this week? Or are these girls you can envision yourself with?
• Ask yourself, if bid day came around, what house would you be looking at and/or wanting to run home to?
• Put yourself out there. Be honest with the chapter and tell them how and what you are feeling!! This is so important for chapters to know and their response to your answer could be a determining factor in your choice.
• College is about finding yourself. In order to do so, you must be selfish at times and do what is best for you. Recruitment is a time where you should be completely selfish and do what is best for YOU. Not for the potential chapters. If you feel pressure to pref a certain way, then consider if these are the girls that you support you in any and every situation.
